Hi! We're Matt and Teri Mead. Based in Erie, PA, we are partners in business and in life because we believe we're better together. However, we're not your typical husband-wife duo. Matt is the primary photographer and the voice behind our social media accounts while Teri takes care of the "behind the scenes" side of our business. In 2018, we brought on Kayla Amendola as an associate photographer.
Four things bond us together as a couple: TRAVEL, FOOD, WINE, and DOGS. Our favorite destination (so far) is Rome. There's just something magical about modern and ancient structures coexisting in the same space. It keeps us coming back for more. And if we're being super honest, the food and the wine in Rome are off the hook!
Although we love traveling together, to quote Dorothy, "There's no place like home." In the evenings, you can find us cooking dinner together in the kitchen while jamming out to our Spotify daylists. And, of course, no dinner is complete without a glass of dry, red wine. We don't bother pairing wine with food. We simply eat and drink what we like.
And since we're talking home quotes, we also believe that no home is complete without a dog. Well, two dogs, in our case. We refer to them as our crack sales team. There's Ziva Dogvid, our ginger-colored senior lab-pit mix named for the NCIS character, and Tali Raffaella, our young and wildly energetic pit-lab-beagle mix. Let me first start by saying, hello and nice to meet you! I'm Tara, A.K.A Talula. My photographs are best described as candid, creative and unique. You may be wondering where "Talula" really came from! Well, long story short, my husband and I are high-school sweethearts, and whenever I first met his extended family his little cousin was only a few years old. He had the hardest time saying my first name, and one day he came out and called me Talula instead of Tara. Needless to say, the nickname stuck and was unique enough that I wanted to use it for my photography business!
A little about me: I have been taking photographs for as long as I can remember... whether it was on my old Polaroid camera, my CoolPix camera, or my flip phones - I took photos of everything & everyone around me. When I saved up for my first real camera, I was about 19 years old and I have yet to slow down! I am married to my best friend who I've known for over half of my life, I'm a social worker, I love dogs...especially my girl Quinn, I am an only child, I enjoy crafting with my Cricut, and playing video/board games being with my favorite people.
Taking photographs has always given me a sense of peace, challenge and excitement. I love capturing candid shots of the emotions being felt throughout the day. I want you to be able to feel those emotions all over again, every time you look at your photos.
